After finishing the last little history video on Dana Point and Capistrano Beach, I began working on the history of Laguna Beach. I have utilized dozens of historic photos, colorized them, and and enhanced them as well with some AI software I am experimenting with. The results are pretty cool. Before I knew it, I realized that I was going to have to break the video into two parts………..the first part ended up being longer than any of the other videos I completed to this point. I know it’s a whopping 27 minutes long…and attention spans are what they used to be…..but I’ve included some pretty cool photos and stories to go along with them…..this aint no Tic Toc. A special thanks to the Laguna Beach Historical Society, the Orange County History Society, California Historical Society, local Facebooks sites including “You’re a Laguna native if….” and “Surf Sand and Inland Old School Living in O.C.”, the O.C. History Roundup site by Chris Jepson, Joe Thurston’s book, “Laguna Beach the Early Days”, to name a few…… This is by no means a complete history of Laguna Beach. The purpose was to give life to some of the amazing photographs I’ve discovered, while weaving together the very interesting and unique history of Laguna Beach. I’m sure there are some of you that may have seen many of these photos before………but probably not like this….take a peek. I hope you enjoy.
