We Rode Taiwan’s First Dessert-Themed Sightseeing Train | Summer Exclusive Haifeng Adventure!

The dessert-themed sightseeing train “Haifeng” just got an upgrade! Recently, our whole family boarded Taiwan’s most magical sightseeing train, the “Haifeng.” The summer route is different from the original winter route! Running between Nangang and Yilan along the coastline, you get to enjoy a variety of breathtaking views, once again witnessing the beauty of Taiwan’s natural landscapes. But it’s not just about the scenery — the Haifeng isn’t all about looks. Beyond the dreamy exterior and scenic route, the train makes stops at Houtong, Toucheng, and Dali stations, offering professional guided tours so passengers can deeply experience the unique charm and culture of these local towns. The Haifeng is Taiwan’s first dessert-themed sightseeing train, so the onboard dining is no joke! The train has partnered with famous Taipei bakeries, including the Michelin-starred Moon Baking Studio, which has created exclusive desserts for the Haifeng using ocean-inspired elements and local ingredients from along the route. Plus, the Michelin-starred Minimal has crafted a summer-exclusive ice cream flavor for the Haifeng, blending deliciousness with a dreamlike journey. To top it all off, there are specially designed exclusive souvenirs, like Haifeng model building blocks, a perpetual calendar, and a special edition Sea Salt Lemon Ale beer, made in collaboration with Taiwan’s Taihu Brewing, to keep the magic of this coastal railway trip alive.
