Pofung UV-82 manual programming from the KeyPad. These steps are also valid for some, but not all, versions of BAOFENG UV-82 & UV-5R Step by step with explanation: Step 1: Switch to VFO or frequency mode by powering off, press & hold the [MENU] button, power ON & release the [MENU] button upon hearing "Frequency mode". Step 2: Delete the current contents of Channel #2 (or whichever channel # you plan to use) by pressing [MENU] - 28 - [MENU] - {up-down or enter channel # from keypad} - [MENU] to confirm. Step 3: Exit menu by pressing PTT & enter the output (receiving) frequency of the repeater, (147.030 Mhz in this example). Step 4a: Set the receive PL-Tone / CTCSS. [MENU] - 11 - [MENU] - {up-down or enter tone from keypad} - [MENU] to confirm - [PTT] to exit. Step 4b: Set the transmit PL-Tone / CTCSS. [MENU] - 13 - [MENU] - {up-down or enter tone from keypad} - [MENU] to confirm - [PTT] to exit. Step 5: Frequency shift direction (+ here) & OFFSET (usually 00.600 Mhz for VHF). [MENU] - 25 - [MENU] - {up-down to +/-} - [MENU] to confirm - {up button to option 26} - [MENU] - 0 0 0 6 0 0 - [MENU] to confirm - {up button to option 27} - [MENU] - {up-down or enter channel # from keypad} - [MENU] to save freq + direction + offset + PL tone - [PTT or EXIT] to leave menu. Now switch back to Channel mode by powering off, press & hold [MENU] button, power ON & release the [MENU] button upon hearing "Channel mode". Press the PTT to hear the repeater tones and you are ALL DONE !
