This video shows how to use the timer in the Märklin Central Station 3 (CS3) to set the signal to red when a train passes. To do this you must turn on the CS3 extended events. It is hown in the video how to do this. This video is a continuation of the CS3 Episode 8 "Manual Routes with the Central Station 3" and will use the same layout. This method only requires CS3 event programming. Alternatively you could use train detection and S88 to turn the signals red based on the position of the train(s).
