Helldiver Cadet KodeX Journal Day 38 Day 38 on the SES Halo of the Stars Personal Order: Kill 100 Troopers Mission Type: Launch ICBM (Difficulty 5 - Hard, solo) Mission Completed? Yes Kills: 196 | Deaths: 2 K/D Ratio: 98/1 100 Troopers is always gonna be a nice easy ride, so I took it on the "woops all hulks" planet, I really like getting kills on hulks, something about it just feels satisfying. I did get killed quite early on for underestimating just how fast a hulk can fire its laser at me, and again later in more or less the same fashion, but the mission wasn't that bad, I did find lidar so was trying for a full clear, but not getting one isn't the end of the world. The fun part is that my good friend Redacted joined me near the end of the mission, which is always a good laugh (and keeps the bots off me temporarily), and after we played more for the rest of the day. One thing I will say is that until it's time to level up the liberator penetrator, I am leaving that thing alone. Realistically speaking, when it comes to armour pen on bots, you only really need light and heavy (at least on 5s), light for anything smaller than a devastator, and heavy for anything bigger than a devastator (and of course stratagems for things like tanks), meaning the libpen, doesn't really have a place, when the base liberator has more damage and a higher rate of fire, making it overall more valuable. Journal Notes: Something I didn't realise is that the mission I chose for day 37 and 38 were both Launch ICBM missions. I don't mean to repeat missions that I'm obviously already... mostly proficient at, but there are some missions I'd just prefer not to embark on alone.
