Doobie and his family are Hartford CT legacy, often think of them as the founders of the Hartford Gospel Jazz Fusion you are about to embark on. Doobie was born to his father Hubert Powell Jr (Jazz Gospel Great), of Wood Brass and Steel and mother Jacquelyn Powell (Powerhouse Vocalist).
