Fishing the American Fork River - Utah Outdoor Activities

HD Camera Used: http://tinyurl.com/hk2yj2m Underwater Footage: http://tinyurl.com/hyv9a78 It was a sunny, gorgeous day on Oct 30, 2014, so we decided to head to American Fork Canyon and spinner fish the American Fork River. Since the river is much cooler this time of year, it makes spinner fishing a little more challenging. Armed with our lure of choice the Panther Martin we went straight for the deeper holes along the river. The fishing was a little slow, but we managed to hook into a few beautiful little trout. The American Fork River is home to a population of smaller rainbow trout (measuring 6-12 in.) and the occasional brown trout. Fishing methods include Fly Fishing, spinners/lures, bait such as salmon eggs, and night crawlers. If you plan to visit American Fork Canyon to fish, picnic, or to enjoy the beauty, there is a $6.00 canyon access fee. This fee will provide you a pass for 3 consecutive days only. The American Fork River is another great location that is close to home where you can get away and spend the day fishing.
