We try out Nick Robinson's winning Sandaconda V Coalossal deck for the Darkness Ablaze post-rotation format in some PTCGO games! Stage 2 decks have not been among the most viable decks in the Pokemon TCG as of late, but in a recent online tournament we saw Sandaconda V dominate. Much like how the deck was when it first released many months ago the Sandaconda V deck revolves around using Coalossal to accelerate Fire and Fighting Energy from the discard pile to your attackers. Using two separate Energy types gives the deck some flexibility to play other types of attackers, and with Eternatus VMAX being so strong right now maybe the Coalossal deck has a chance to cement itself in the current metagame?
