A walk following the Mayes Brook in East London from Chadwell Heath to Barking. This great London walk starts on the Eastern Avenue in Chadwell Heath in the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham then continues through St. Chad's Park, down Roxy Avenue to Chadwell Heath High Road crossing into the London Borough of Redbridge. We then walk through Goodmayes Park and Orchard Playing Fields to Mayesbrook Park where the river was recently recovered and restored. Our route takes us past Upney Station on the District Line before taking a detour past the Elizabethan Eastbury Manor House. We pick up the final section of the Mayes Brook just after the A13 at the end of River Road in Barking near where it makes its confluence with the River Roding and where our river walk ends.
