http://www.CoolersOnSale.com hosts its' second ice challenge, this one for small 20-25QT coolers. In this test we match up a Vibe Element 20, Yeti Tundra 20, Engel 25 Q, Siberian Sidekick 20, & Grizzly 20. After 4 days of 90+ degree heat, the ice in all coolers completely melted. Having said that, all coolers made it at lease 3 full days, with Grizzly 20Q winning the challenge going 4+ days of ice retention. Watch to see the ice melt/ice retention progression. After one day there is visible difference across the cooler brands. It is worth noting that it seems cooler color plays a significant role when the sun/heat is beaming down on coolers. Two of the darker colored coolers (Engel & Siberian) were consistently 15-20 degrees WARMER than the white coolers or even blue Yeti Roadie. Its also worth nothing that, although the Grizzly 20Q held ice the longest it was only a 12-24 hour difference in ice retention. The Grizzly held ice about 24 hours longer than the Vibe Element 20Q and roughly 12 hours or less longer than Yeti Roadie 20, Engel 25 and Siberian Sidekick 22. Coolers Testest: ▶Yeti Roadie: http://amzn.to/2h8hD2m ▶Engel 25Qt: http://amzn.to/2eTK2bX ▶Grizzly 20Qt: http://amzn.to/2uEzjHQ ▶Vibe Kayaks 20Qt: http://amzn.to/2h7pXzE ▶Siberian 20Qt: http://amzn.to/2uEllG1 In conclusion, if 12 hours of additional ice retention is not worth an addition $100+ in price tag, almost any smaller rotor molded cooler will accomplish the task at hand.
