Often when I'm angry or frustrated, I channel that energy into my music. Music is that universal language that can unite us all. My producer Jaeforte and I spent a few hours channeling our anger into this track in honor of too many black lives lost at the hands of American police. Sadly, Michael Brown is not an isolated incident. Officer Darren Wilson not being indicted in the killing of Michael Brown re-identifies a huge problem needing to be address. America, when are we going to say - ENOUGH?! Black lives matter. There's an inequality of justice for black men in America. Thanks to Jenée Desmond-Harris for your June 8, 2013 alarming piece 'Beyond Trayvon: Black and Unarmed' that inspires this video. I offer this video and song in hopes that the peaceful and effective protest energy never dies down until we see justice for young black men.
