Purple sleeves for the ultimate ZETSUBOU/DESPAIR effect. ^_^ What the hell was I thinking? I loved the 5D's anime (except the last three Episodes. Jesus, what the hell was that?) and Aporia is my favorite Yugimonz character. And the Meklords were also pretty badass. So it was inevitable that I wanted to build a Meklord Deck. I miss 5D's. It was a great series. ZeXal however is utter bullcrap. Sheesh, I can't wait for the glorious moment in which ZeXal ends. And most of the cards that were released during the ZeXal era are just broken. Back to the Meklords. A pure build is nearly impossible. The monsters themselves are quite great and kick ass (with the exception of the Astro series and sadly Emperor Skiel), but the Trap and Spell line-up is pretty lacking. Chaos Infinity and maybe the Field Spells are the only good things the Meklords got. The rest is anything but good. Especially Mektimed-Blast is disappointing and isn't worth it. So, I tried some variants including a Dark Simorgh one, but none felt comfortable. Then, I went to Pojo to netdeck (something that anybody does on this site, honestly) and in the Meklord discussion thread; somebody came with the great idea to combine the Meklords with the Worm Archetype from Duel Terminal/Hidden Arsenal together. With the Worms, you can use Offerings to the Snake Deity (WAY better than that crappy Mektimed-Blast and also triggers a Meklord Emperor) and W Nebula Meteorite (nice draw power) to kick butts. I tested it and the results were quite okay. Sure, you might get some death draws if you draw Meteorite and Offerings with no Worm monsters, but I still need to play test it even more. 3 Offerings might be a little bit too much... Good, it will never win a Tournament filled with these ZeXal infested cards such as Derpzectors, Derp-Ups, TGURabbitderp or Derpratic, but at least this Deck makes fun. You play mechas with worms that look like infected reproductive organs! And if you lose (which will happen), you will at least lose in style! WOHOO!
