A mellow version of Whiter Shade of Pale. Sung by Steel Pickin', while playing acoustic guitar, backed by Twisted Fingers on a 1980s Technics U90 organ playing countermelody and bass. On screen is the score we were following. Recorded in August 2021 for the Hillbilly Hoot plague shutdown editions. A mellow version of the first two verses of this classic song. There are actually four verses, each as mad as the others, but you usually only hear the two of them. Look through YouTube for the extended versions of this song. I recorded the organ and bass parts, along with a drum click track (still barely audible, thanks to bleed-through in the organ), and sent the files to my friend. He recorded several voice tracks (multi-tracking to make the vocals sound nicer), and a guitar track. A bit of reverb was added to vocals and guitar via a Lexicon MX200 rack unit, the organ has its own two-spring reverb. Mixed together using Audacity on CentOS (Linux).
