From Waterfall Bliss to a Scary Situation — Misol-Ha & Agua Azul

Today we visited two of the most beautiful waterfalls in Chiapas: Misol-Ha and Agua Azul. The day was magical — jungle sounds, powerful water, turquoise cascades… everything was perfect. But then something unexpected happened. At Agua Azul, there was a power cut, and the restaurant we ate at suddenly lost all signal. We had agreed to pay by card, but with the power gone, the card machine stopped working. A local man offered to take me by tuk-tuk to a nearby town, next to a pharmacy where there was a bank, so I could make a direct transfer into his personal account. It was a tense moment — going with a stranger, with only 20 minutes before our bus left, and trusting that everything would be okay. Luckily for me, just as I sat down in the tuk-tuk, the power came back on. We quickly returned to the restaurant and, with some difficulties, managed to complete the card payment.
