This book helped me with my art block!

Hi! I found this cool book called: “Draw 500 awesome animals” by Julia Kuo at the Modern Tate museum in London, and I thought it would be great when I have moments of art block and I don’t know what to paint, or even if I feel like I can’t draw anymore, or I just feel stuck. So I had to buy it! It comes with 500 different drawings and simple paintings of animals in different styles. This is great for me, because it’s a very different style to what I usually paint, so getting out of my comfort zone would be great to challenge my brain and be creative! The book comes with spaces for your drawings, or you can use a notebook to make your own creations. You can literally trace them, or use them as inspiration to create your own versions. It’s all about practising and being creative. I’m going to use a notebook and not draw in the book, just because I want to use watercolours, inks and other materials, like pens or markers for this exercise. And also because I don’t want to ruin the book! ;) It will be fun to use different techniques, different materials and experiment with shapes, textures, colours, lines… If you have any other books like this that you can recommend, share them in the comments section!
