Hello everyone, Emmanuel from FeedArmy here. In today’s video, we're breaking down a brand-new Google Merchant Center feature: the Handling Cutoff Time attribute, now officially supported inside your product data feed. Improve your Google Shopping performance: https://feedarmy.com/google-shopping-... Prefer to read? https://feedarmy.com/kb/new-handling-... This attribute previously existed only in the Google Merchant Center UI, which led to confusion, many merchants assumed it already existed in feeds. Thanks to Hannah for spotting and sharing this update! In this video, I explain: What the handling cutoff time attribute is Why it matters for accurate delivery estimates The new sub-attributes you can now submit How to use this for offer-level overrides Why this can improve your click-through rate How shipping overrides interact with product-level feed data XML and Google Sheets examples Current limitations, bugs, and UI gaps How Shopify MultiFeeds, CTX Feed, and other feed tools can support these custom attributes 🚚 What Is the Handling Cutoff Time? The handling cutoff time lets Google know the latest time of day an order can be placed to be processed the same business day. You can now configure it with the following sub-attributes: cutoff_time (HHMM format, 24-hour) cutoff_time_zone country (ISO-2 code) disable_delivery_after_cutoff (true/false) This gives Google more accurate delivery estimates—which can directly influence consumer trust and increase conversions. 🧩 Where It Applies You can now configure cutoff time at multiple levels: Offer level – best for small merchants Offer + Country level – country-specific delivery differences Shipping override level – advanced setups with multiple speeds User time zone alignment – show cutoff based on user's local time No cutoff time – for merchants with flexible shipping Same-day vs next-day visibility control – hide next-day delivery after cutoff ⚠️ Current Limitations & Known Issues The GMC UI currently does not support editing handling cutoff time at product level. Attributes are missing from the UI editor but accepted in feeds (Google Sheets, XML, supplemental feeds). The XML documentation is inaccurate, missing tags. You cannot exclude specific products when the cutoff time is applied inside the shipping settings UI. Product-level feed submission is required if you need product-specific exceptions. I’ll report these issues to Google and update the community once fixed. 🛠️ Feed Tool Compatibility Good news: most modern feed tools already support custom attributes. You can add this today via: Shopify MultiFeeds WordPress CTX Feed Most custom or API-based feed systems Just add the attribute names manually. 📘 Learn More Check out my website for 350+ Google Shopping articles, tutorials, policy updates, and troubleshooting guides: ➡ FeedArmy.com
