I started this video back in Jan 2022 (it's now July 2022) - I got a bit stuck on trying to wire the 512KB RAM daughterboard neatly. Excuses, excuses. So this is a "new-in-box" Enterprise 64 that came with everything it should, including the bits that usually are missing (like the joystick nib/knob). I got two of these around roughly the same time ... Enterprises seem to appear in batches on ebay, before disappearing again for six months. Weird. I think I got this one for US$195, plus US$90 shipping from Kazakhstan to Australia and US$28 tax ... about AU$423 at the time. Hopefully this video is a bit better than my rolling-high-seas Enterprise 128 video. Upgrades I'm doing on this Enterprise: [1] Replaced the two 7805 linear regulators with two modern versions, [2] Adding the 512KB SRAM daughterboard where the 64KB expansion daughterboard would go in the Enterprise 128, [3] Removed the UHF modulator and installed a mini-DIN connector for RGB output, bypassing the weird edge connector, [4] Upgraded the ROM capacity (32KB to 64KB) - not yet installed the latest EXOS 2.4 though, [5] Heat sinks on various ICs. The 6-pin mini-DIN socket is actually a "PS/2 wired connector" used in Arduino-type projects. To be continued ... My first Enterprise video is here - I put Chess onto the IS-BASIC cartridge: • 🇬🇧 Elan Enterprise 128 Tinkering [TCE #0017]
