🛠️ Carp Boat Build – Day 4 Progress! Day 4 of the carp boat build was all about stripping back more of the old structure and getting things ready for the next stage of the transformation. Today, I focused on removing the old timber supports that were holding up the original storage compartments. These will all be replaced with brand new, stronger timber supports and freshly built storage areas designed specifically for fishing gear and comfort on longer sessions. While working through the removal process, I did notice a small mistake from the day before — when I was cutting out the steering console, I must have caught the grinder a bit too deep and managed to go through a small section of the boat! Luckily, it’s not part of the hull that actually sits in the water, so it’s an easy fix and nothing major to worry about. Just goes to show that even with the best planning, a few surprises always pop up during a project like this. By the end of the day, everything was stripped out and prepped for removing the old beds on Day 5. Things are really starting to take shape now, and I can already see the vision coming together. Each day we’re getting closer to turning this old Birchwood Continental into the ultimate custom carp boat that’s perfect for overnight sessions and adventures on the water! Stay tuned for Day 5, where we’ll tackle the beds and start setting things up for the rebuild phase. Don’t forget to like, comment, and subscribe to follow the full transformation from start to finish! 🎣🚤
