Date Filmed: 17 March 2026 I Just Decided To Do Some Bus Spotting When I Just Saw This 3 Door Bus Double Decker Version Spotted Perming On Bus Service 963 For The First Time Ever So Then I Quickly Take It As Soon When The Bus Arrived. I Take It From My School Bus Stop After I Finish My School CCA Activites. I Originally Wanted To Record From After Hillview MRT Station Bus Stop But Then I Only Recorded From Block 272 Since I Wanted To Know Which MRT Station Is Near Me When I Take The Bus Service. So Then, I Check On The Goggle Map On My Handphone That The Green Route Show That It Didn't Go To Clementi MRT Station and I Alighted At After Clementi Fire Station Bus Stop and Change To Another Bus Service To Ride Towards The Clementi Integrated Transport Hub Which Was Operated By SBS Transit. Now Back To Here, Bus Service 963 Was Use To Run As "SMRT" Until It Was Handover To Tower Transit In September 2021 As Part Of The Yishun Bus Package. What Was Very Special To The 3 Door Bus Is That The Bus Featured 3 Door Which Means That The Third Door Will Help To Support The Faster Alighting and Boarding So That The Bus Can Leave In Short While In Just Less Then One Minute. Usually When I Saw This Bus Model, It Was Always Perm On Bus Service 969 Which Was Use To Run As "SMRT" Until It Was Handed Over To Tower Transit In September 2021 Too As Part Of The Yishun Bus Package. Bus 963 Was Serving Between Woodlands Integrated Transport Hub and The Harbourfront Bus Interchange. There Is Bus Service 963E Which Stands For Bus Service 963 Express Service Which Skips Several Stops Which Is Only Serve During The Weekdays On The Peak Hours Like Morning and Evening. The Bus Service 963E Won't Be Serve On The Public Holidays and Weekends At Most Of The Times Even For The City Direct Bus Service Like Bus 65X, 66X, 67X and 68X Services. For Bus Service 963, They Use The Alexander Dennis Enviro 500 Too Bus Then Commonly Spotted The 2 Door Bus Version Which Was First Entered Service From 2014 Onwards To Support More Capacity. The Other Bus Models Which Was Use For Here Is The MAN A95 Euro 5 & 6, MAN A22 Euro 5 & 6 [Sometimes] and The Mercedes OC500LE [Rarely]. The Bus Will Go Through The Expressway Which Will Use The BKE Expressway Only and Happen After The Bus Leaves Bukit Panjang Area and Enters The Woodlands Area After Leaving The BKE Expressway Near The Woodlands Checkpoint Centre. Eventually, The Double Decker Bus 3 Door Is Quite Rare To See It As I Might Not Have The Chance To See This 3 Door Double Decker Bus Every Time As Land Transport and Authority Has Ordered Only 50 Of These Which Were Being Made From The United Kingdom. But Almost Half Of Them Were Use For The Tower Transit and Most Of Them Could Be Spotted For The SBS Transit and Only Few Of Them Were Spotted On SMRT Like Bus Service 190 and Bus Service 974. The Light LED Wasn't On At That Time Since It Was Still Off-Peak and The Weather Was Still Bright In The Daytime Hours. The LCD Screen and Indicator For This Bus Is Functing Well and I Like The Comfortable Seats, Strong Aircon and The Floors Were Very Clean As Always. I Hope To See This Bus Model Again Soon But In Different Bus Services As The Alexander Dennis Enviro 500 3 Door Bus Is The Last Non-Electric Bus Model To Be Built In 2021. After 2021, The New Buses Will Be Electric To Have Cleaner Energy In Singapore For Future Public Transport Which Will Occured With More Electric Buses In The 2030s.
