In August 2025, Feiro Marine Life Center responded to pup #2 (dubbed Angel Hair), who was stranded immediately adjacent to our facility in a highly public location on the waterfront in Port Angeles, WA. After a veterinary consultation in the field, the pup was transferred to Center Valley Animal Rescue in Quilcene, WA for stabilization before moving on to SR3 (SeaLife Response, Rehabilitation, & Research) in Des Moines, WA for rehabilitation. After hitting all the rehabilitation milestones, including learning how to fish, the pup was released back into the Salish Sea in November, 2025. Be sure to watch until the end :) All entities work together as part of the permitted NOAA Marine Mammal Stranding Response team in Washington State.
