During the first World War, the Germans built large numbers of submarines and many have yet to be found or identified. This was the second #gasperados dive on a UC type 2 minelaying submarine lying in 85 metres (280 feet) in the English Channel. We knew that it was going to be a challenging dive and that the only way to identify the submarine was by scrubbing the props to remove concretion and find identifying serial numbers.
