Arthroscopic Baker Cyst resection of the knee demo by Dr.Bancha Chernchujit Thammasat University
This VDO demonstrate the new technique of arthroscopic Baker cyst resection using transcyst portal. Firstly I inject the dye ( Methylene blue or Gentian Violet) into the cyst. Then we perform the knee arthroscopy, pass the scope into the posteromedial portal, identify the cyst valve, resect the cyst valve, pass the scope into the cyst between Gastrocnemius and Semimembranosus tendon. We penetrate through the cyst from front to back when the knee in full extension, using inside out technique. Put the shaver blade into the posterior transcyst portal and remove the cyst wall.
