Perseverence – the persistence in doing something despite difficulty or delay in achieving success. A definition so simple, yet so difficult to actualize. I mean, consider a situation where you spend years in writing codes and developing programs and platforms for several companies, moving in and out of one country or the other all in a bid to actualize one dream? That’s the story of Louis Manu, a Bekwai-born tech guru who has for years sought a way of harmonizing streaming and payment systems in a not so friendly eco system (at the time at least). His interest in tech, from his days at NIIT and subsequently the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology was clear for all to see. And he was on the right track, even after school when he got the chance to do his national service with one of the telecom giants in Ghana at the time. A national service opportunity would lead to a job role, and then a lifetime opportunity of many more of such with major corporations in and outside his home country Ghana as the years go by. A desire to however pursue further studies in the United Kingdom will open Louis up to a whole new set of possibilities, including the potential of actualizing his dream of creating a distinct streaming platform for Africans.
