He is a young software engineer from Mumbai, fond of playing football as a hobby. He was having groin pain radiating to the back forcing him to quit playing football and also restricting his other activities. On evaluation, he was detected to have a right-sided Inguinal hernia and so a laparoscopic surgery was planned for him. During surgery, it was found that he had a lipoma (a lump of fat cells) in the inguinal canal along with the hernia, which was the likely cause of this severe pain. Just like all the other patients of laparoscopic Inguinal hernia surgery, his recovery was also fast and was discharged the next day morning after surgery. He had been moving around in the hospital on his own and was taking food after a few hours of surgery. Thus making him and the team confident of sending him home. We were happy to know that post-surgery he was back to normal work within a few days and had now also started playing football without any discomfort.
