Layout Update - November 2021: Banff Station Complete, Printing Cedar Shakes, Morant's Curve Kickoff

Here's what's new on the layout over the last month: Banff Station completed. Reprinted the roof cedar shakes after correcting the perspective and warming up the tones. Reworked the ridge cap artwork thanks to a photo taken by my friend. Finished the main fireplace chimney by using my Dremel to carve out the top of the MDF. Added one last rooftop detail at the east end; a black sewer vent. Time to move on to the next section; Morant's Curve. I removed the tree island to work on it off the layout as this scene is very deep. I filled the gaps in the Bow River with Great Stuff foam. Next steps will be to fill them with drywall compound and then sand/prep for paint. There is a quite a bit of river surface to paint so I am going to need to try and find 2 L of a colour that looks right then tweak it at home. Simultaneously, I can begin working on creating the photo backdrop in Corel Draw. Thanks for watching!
