Stereolab 1994-11-29 V.K.(*) Brussels Belgium From the Gaobest video archives. Pretty special in my book at it features a few songs that weren't commonly played live, like opener Three-Dee Melodie, second encore closer "Lock-Groove Lullaby", and especially "Check And Double Check". Quality here is a touch better than the March 1994 ones, though I reckon that it's still VID2 with a format transcode from PAL to NTSC. Used a Panasonic DMR-ES35V into a Clearclick Video2Digital 2.0 converter box...step away from the screen and turn the channel if that is upsetting to ya. Setlist 0:35 Three-Dee Melodie 5:59 French Disko 9:26 Transporté sans bouger 14:25 Ping Pong 17:45 Avant Garde M.O.R. 21:39 Crest 27:06 Transona Five 31:52 Check and Double Check (Laetitia: 'these things take time' so after she intros it, the song actually starts at 32:56...afterwards, she consults her setlist at the 36:05 mark, picking it up and seeming squinting at it) 36:26 The Seeming and the Meaning 41:04 International Colouring Contest 45:09 Anamorphose (with keyboard intro, the song proper starts at 45:30, Lae playing melodica at the 50:50 point) 53:34 Lo Boob Oscillator Encore: 1:01:04 Stomach Worm Encore 2: 1:09:57 Lock-Groove Lullaby (false start) 1:10:37 Lock-Groove Lullaby Missing from the (otherwise) excellent KOLY website, but luckily documented on setlist dot fm: https://www.setlist.fm/setlist/stereo... This reveals that at one point this show had been posted online, but this link for it now displays "This video is no longer available because the YouTube account associated with this video has been terminated." I'm hoping my account avoids a similar fate. (*) The full name of the venue / location, for trainspotters: Gemeenschapscentrum De Vaartkapoen, Sint-Jans-Molenbeek / Molenbeek-Saint-Jean, Belgium
