Presented by Tor Neilands, PhD and Estie Hudes, PhD. Dr. Tor Neilands is a professor in the UCSF Division of Prevention Science and director of the Center for AIDS Prevention Studies (CAPS) Methods Core. His research focuses on four key areas: 1. Quantitative Methods & Survey Development– Advancing statistical techniques and developing survey scales to improve data analysis in prevention science. 2. Leadership in Research Cores – Directing both the CAPS Methods Core and the Center for Aging in Diverse Communities Analysis Core to provide methodological expertise. 3. Building Research Capacity– Supporting early-career faculty of color in conducting behavioral HIV/AIDS prevention research within racially and ethnically minoritized communities. 4. Advanced Data Analytics – Providing methodological, statistical, and data analysis support for biomedical and behavioral studies on HIV prevention and aging health disparities. Through his work, Dr. Neilands strengthens the research infrastructure at UCSF and beyond, fostering innovation in HIV prevention and public health research.
