An important part of precision pistol shooting is dry fire training, 80 - 90 % of “shots” could be dry fire training, this helps muscle memory, sight picture, grip and for the timed exposure events like rapid fire, timings. With the successful OSP / GSP range from Walther you had a series of pistols that could do all the UIT /ISSF competitions, but as the triggers were manual, dry fire training had to be done with a snap cap and meant that you only got one proper trigger pull each time you cocked the action.
