How Similar are Spanish and Tagalog (Filipino)?

Welcome to I PINK IT! If you have been to my channel before, you know how much I love to learn from other cultures! So this language challenge video is special to me as I got to film it with my gorgeous Filipina friend. We realized a lot of the words we use sound the same, so that gave us hope to travel to the Philippines and Latin America without having to struggle with the translation. Mar speaks Tagalog and I speak Spanish, she is from the Philippines and I am from El Salvador. It's fun to see that the words we commonly use sound the same, even though we are from two different continents (thanks to being conquered by Spain). I hope you enjoy getting to learn the similarities between Spanish and Tagalog (Filipino) through our video, as well as learning how to write the words. We are happy to share a little bit of our home countries and we hope one day you get to travel to them and fall in love with what the Philippines and El Salvador offer to tourists.
