Their main inspirations include the giants of thrash from the eighties like Exodus, Testament, Heathen or Overkill, and also bands such as Metal Church, Paradox and Pariah. The debut, "Path To The Unknown", released in cooperation with Defense Records, was very warmly received by both fans and reviewers. PTTU was selected for several top thrash album lists of 2022, alongside peer releases by bands such as Xentrix, Tankard, and Crisix. On January 29, 2025, Exul premiered their latest independent release – Perpetual Catastrophe. This 22-minute EP builds on the momentum of their debut, expanding its core elements with fresh ideas. The end result is music that perfectly embodies the band’s philosophy: maintaining the right balance between the heaviness and the catchiness of their songs.
