Today we're talking about a piece of equipment that can be a bit controversial: the Lifting Belt. In reality if you watch any high level strength sport or competition, like the Powerlifting World Championships, you'll see everybody use it. This can be in contrast to some comments we can read online such as: 'you should be strong enough to do it without the belt' or 'The belt does everything for you'. In my opinion, those comments simply reflect a lack of understanding the principle of bracing and the belt's role in the application of that principle. Which is why I wanted to do this video for you guys. So as long as you properly understand the bracing, and how to use it, the belt is one of the best, if not THE best equipment for strength training.
