A Day and Night on the Mountain | Vitosha, Bulgaria

Hey! Thank you for checking out this video! Made it a while back when I was visiting my girlfriend in Bulgaria and finally posting it on YouTube! - To hike the Vitosha Mountain (2290m) from the bottom would be pretty difficult for people who have not hiked in a while, and need to carry heavy bags full of camping equipment. So we decided to take the ski lift for the majority of the distance and then hike for about 2hrs to reach the top. - Along the way we stopped to enjoy the view, met some friendly people and had plenty of daft conversations. After reaching the top we had some food at a hut that was located there and found a cool spot where we set camp. While looking for wood I stumbled upon an already made camp fire with some left over logs which was very fortunate since there were no trees around. - The best thing about that camp fire was its location. About 10m from our tent and the view... the view was epic! You could see all the smaller mountains in the distance along with the beautiful sunset behind them. - We must of lay beside the fire until about midnight. The sound of the fire crackle and the sight of millions of shinning stars was definitely hard to leave but we needed that sleep for the journey tomorrow. - Here is a funny little story, after getting into the tent and ready to sleep we started hearing noises that sounded like a person walking around our tent. We kept quiet and listened more closely and figured that it may even be an animal. I swear I even noticed a shadow. I didn't go outside to check because I could not be asked being eaten alive after such a perfect day so I just stayed aware and kept on visualizing endless scenarios and how I would turn into Rambo if anything went down. Ida somehow fell asleep but I think I only got like 2hrs in total. What was crazy that the noises continued in the morning and at this point I'm like what the hell I'm going to storm outside and square go this animal. So I went and there was… nothing. Absolutely nothing.
