He wore it to the About 'Effing Time Christmas party at George Bamford's studio, and after a couple of champagnes with Niels Eggerding, the CEO of Frederique Constant, they started talking. What if we didn't just do one first, but broke the mould entirely? The result? Four firsts. Number one, it's the first Highlife with the brand's manufacture moonphase movement (the in-house FC 716 calibre). Number two, it's the first stone dial Highlife, outfitted with a genuine black onyx dial. Number three, it's the first Highlife with no indices on the dial, clean and crisp, inspired by dressy meets sporty watches of the '70s. Lastly, it's the first Highlife to be paired with a five-link Jubilee-style bracelet for the collection, because Andrew believed the Highlife deserved something a bit dressier. We added red 'Geneva' text beneath Frederique Constant, and a red '31' on the date indicator as finishing touches.
