Brand New SWIFT Lite Platform Lift | Plaza Senayan Arcadia, Jakarta, ID

A brand new Swedish platform lift, installed quite recently in the little shopping arcade part of Plaza Senayan. I was interested with it after hearing from several local elevator enthusiasts so I decided to try it before heading to Plaza Senayan for lunch. Not sure why they added it here on the foyer, but I'm guessing this was done so that wheelchair user or disabled people won't have to go to the OTIS Gen2 elevator at the back. And speaking of which, I didn't bother to film that Gen2 again as it has been horribly modernized into generic. The lift here is a SWIFT Lite, the budget model and one of the only two models that SWIFT currently offer. Although they market it as a home elevator, I still consider it as a platform lift anyway due to the way it runs. It runs very quiet compared to other Swedish brands despite using a screw driven mechanism (NOT hydraulic as someone had claimed, mind you) like most platform lifts. The speed is just 0.15 m/sec which is pretty standard for a platform lift. Also unlike most European platform lifts this one runs fully automatic so there's no need to hold down the floor button to move the lift - I find this very convenient. Design wise it looks simple but nice, and I like the swing doors.
