So the WHO mandates masks for age 12 years and above and they are supposed to follow the same guidelines as adults follow. Between 5 to 11 years above 5 years is what the WHO says children can start wearing masks but it depends because there are some kids who might not cooperate on wearing masks. So it depends on child to child basis. It depends on the infectivity around that area, depends on the people in the family who are affected or not. If at all a child is between 5 to 11 years and the child is wearing a mask it is advisable that you teach the children a little bit about the mask and how to wear it and hygiene following around it like for example the mask should be the appropriate size. It should cover the nose, the mouth, the chin you have to make sure that you tell the child that the baby or child should not touch the mask again and again should not keep pulling down the mask again and again and before wearing the mask you're supposed to either use a sanitizer or use soap and water to clean your hands and correctly store the mask also.
