Your compassion is unceasing in helping beings. To the Lotus born guru of Orgyen we pray. Grant your blessing so all our wishes be spontaneously fulfilled! All the Dharma kings, from Trisongdetsen Down to the very end of the royal line, Throughout past, present and future - know your constant blessing. You are the only protection for rulers who follow the Dharma, as in Tibet, Your compassion safeguards the lands that practise Dharma. To the Lotus- born guru of Orgyen we pray. Grant your blessing so that all our wishes be spontaneously fulfilled! Your wisdom body is now in the southwest, subjugating the rakshasa demons, Yet your compassion embraces sentient beings everywhere, like Tibet Magnificent guide for all sentient beings led astray by their ignorance; Skillfully you tame them with their turbulent emotions and stubborn resistance. Your compassion is unbroken in its kindness and its love. To the Lotus born guru of Orgyen we pray. Grant your blessing so all our wishes be spontaneously fulfilled! Now, at the close of this degenerate dark age Every morning and every evening, to those who have devotion, You come riding on the rays of the rising and the setting sun. Now in this dark age, the age of conflict, last of the five- hundred year eras, Negative emotions and the five poisons grow more violent in all sentient beings— Emotions boil in rampant chaos, and the poisons dominate our minds. At a time like this, let your compassion be our refuge and protection! Your compassion leads those with devotion to the higher realms. To the Lotus born guru of Orgyen we pray. When terrifying armies of oppression encircle us, When the great centers of the Dharma lie in ruins, With no trace of doubt or hesitation we pray: O Guru Rinpoche, surrounded by your retinue of eight classes of gods and demons, You will repel aggressors and their armies- of this we have no doubt. When sickness strikes to destroy the fragile bodies of sentient beings, When diseases plunge us into unbearable suffering and agony, With no trace of doubt or hesitation we pray: O Guru Rinpoche, embodiment of the Buddha of Medicine, You will remove the obstacles that bring untimely death.
