KONETA received a grant from the Canadian Embassy through its Canada Fund for Local Initiatives to implement the Innovative Learning for Economic Empowerment and Development (#iLead) project. In the era of climate change, most countries in the world are concerned about deforestation and environmental pollution. South Sudan hereby recognizes these issues as well. These women, as a group, are putting in the efforts to protect the environment by producing sustainable charcoal briquettes, stoves, and planting more trees. These sustainable charcoal briquettes and stoves are their sustainable source of income as well. This documentary is supported by WAN-IFRA Women in News Social Impact Reporting Initiative (SIRI).
