Abstract - Herein, titanium-nitrogen doped carbon nanoflowers as catalysts for electrochemical nitrate reduction to ammonia are evaluated in complex environments. By optimizing catalyst morphology and reaction parameters, the catalysts achieved selective ammonia production, demonstrating the potential of this approach for sustainable wastewater treatment and nitrogen recovery. About the Speaker - Carlos Fernandez received his BS, MS, and PhD from Georgia Tech School of Mechanical Engineering. During his PhD, he did an internship at NREL and participated in the Create-X initiative of Georgia Tech. He's currently a postdoctoral researcher in the Tarpeh Lab at Stanford University.
