Discover Wines of Western Georgia Rippled with mountains, Imereti is a cradle between the Greater and Lesser Caucasus Ranges. It's Georgia's second-largest growing region and perhaps a golden line between Kakhetian and European wines. Here, the traditional winemaking method involved Qvevri (called Churi in Imereti) and some contact with skins and stems. However, typically for Imereti, is a lesser percentage of stems for a shorter duration of time.
