This is the Design Lab Community and we're a friendly bunch! We are a community of designers that get together to talk shop, share ideas and designs, and get to know one another. This month we welcomed Kat Roskova to the stage to talk about her passion for maps. Mind the Map What is a map? How are they designed? Where are they heading? And can you imagine the world without them? Humanity has had a long and obsessive relationship with maps. Through history we’ve used maps as works of art, for visual metaphors, to navigate the world, and used to illustrate scientific models. To me, maps are the constant, bewitching possibility of exploration and communication. And design always played a big role in it. Speaker: Kat Roskova I am a Product Designer, designing for mobile apps at IG (fintech company). I moved to London around two years ago after finishing my design studies in Copenhagen where I worked for smaller digital and marketing agencies along my studies.
