🍩 Nutella-Filled Donuts 🌟 Ingredients (for about 10–12 donuts) For the dough: • 250 g (2 cups) all-purpose flour • 30 g (2 tbsp) sugar • 1 packet (7–10 g) of active dry yeast (or 10 g fresh yeast) • 1 egg • 120 ml (½ cup) warm milk • 40 g (3 tbsp) unsalted butter, softened • 1 pinch of salt • Oil for frying (sunflower or peanut oil — about 100–150 cl / 1–1.5 L) For the filling: • Nutella (or any chocolate spread you like) • Sugar for coating ⸻ 👨🍳 Instructions 1. Make the dough 1. In a large bowl, mix the flour, sugar, and salt. 2. Add the yeast (keep it away from the salt). 3. Pour in the warm milk and egg, and mix until combined. 4. Add the soft butter little by little and knead for 8–10 minutes (by hand or with a mixer). 👉 The dough should be smooth, elastic, and slightly sticky. 2. Let it rise • Cover the bowl with a clean cloth. • Let it rest for 1½ to 2 hours, until the dough doubles in size. 3. Shape the donuts 1. Punch down the dough to release the air. 2. Roll it out on a floured surface to about 1 cm thick. 3. Cut out rounds with a cookie cutter or a glass. 4. Place them on a floured tray, cover, and let rise again for 30–45 minutes. 4. Fry the donuts 1. Heat the oil to 170°C (340°F) — not too hot, or they’ll brown too fast. 2. Fry the donuts for 1–2 minutes per side, until golden brown. 3. Remove and drain on paper towels. 5. Fill and coat 1. Let the donuts cool slightly. 2. Fill a piping bag (or a plastic bag with a small corner cut off) with Nutella. 3. Poke a small hole in the side of each donut and fill generously. 4.
