On Friday night, whilst working 1A97: 20:45 Harwich International to London Liverpool Street, 720536 and 720570 were deemed a failure at Witham. One totally wouldn't boot back up, and the other's alarms were sounding when trying to be moved. The 'Aventra's were then put into 'Rescue Mode', but again, no luck. Then, on the afternoon of 28/11/21, 37601 was summoned from Orient Way to haul the knackered units from Witham to Colchester as 5F05, at 5mph, due to 720536's leading 'DMSO' having severe wheelflats (as can be heard in the video!). We sight 37601 attaching to the units at Witham before departing via the Up Loop to Colchester, running via the Up Main in the Down direction due to there being no crossover available to use until Kelvedon. Talking of Kelvedon, that's where we are next, as we visualise the convoy now correctly on the Down Main after crossing over. Afterwards, it's a dash over to Marks Tey to sight the train once more with some friendly company to hand, before a final sprint across to Chitts Hill Level Crossing for a side-on shot of the train almost at its arrival point, Colchester. A short while later, we're at Colchester, where we see 'Perseus' off of the class 720s and on it's own, working 0Z37 back to Orient Way. Complete with feature shots, a cracking departure was also given! Thanks for watching, South East Train Hub.
