The first episode of Covid Baking Competition: The Musical. Meet all the characters as they get ready to compete in the Covid Baking Competition. Who do you think is going to win? The Homebaker? (Lisa Sedares) Then meet the judges, inspired by some famous musicals - can you guess each reference? The Mean Judge (Gabriel Chu) The American Judge (Peter Crisafulli) The British Judge (Fina Ludlow) This is a new, original musical with music and lyrics by Lisa Sedares and Jackie Brenneman, produced by Conundrum Theatre Company. Like so many others who have been affected by Covid-19, we here at Conundrum were forced to cancel our next production and possibly our entire 2020 season. While we may not be able to enjoy live theater for a few more months, the team at Conundrum decided to turn to creativity to continue our mission of bringing together working professionals (including a lawyer, a teacher, a COO, and a rocket scientist!) to create, produce, and perform original musicals. The Board of Conundrum Theatre Company is proud to share Covid Baking Competition: The Musical with you. This show is the first-ever musical about a baking competition under quarantine, produced and filmed under quarantine, featuring past and present members of our very own Conundrum Theatre Co! Whether you're an essential worker, directly impacted by this illness, or just social distancing at home, this video is for you. This is our small way as a nonprofit theatre company to give back. We will get through this together and live theatre will be back soon!
