A young chefs quest for his culinary legacy Assaf Granit, was born and raised in Jerusalem and is one of Israel’s top restauranteurs. His cooking skills, he says, were acquired from sticking close to his grandmother and absorbing the tastes and scents of the streets of Jerusalem. At an early age Assaf found himself working at various restaurants in Jerusalem, followed by a number of internships in Europe. Assaf opened his own restaurant, “Machneyuda”. His team of restauranteurs opened “Yudal’e”, "The Culinary Workshop" and “Talbiye”, becoming “The Machneyuda Group”. Granit recently returned to the small screen as a judge on the Israeli reality TV show “Games of chefs”. Granit will also mentoring at a new TV show the Israeli version of – "Hell's Kitchen".
