Follow us on twitter: / bioethics_net Pannelists bios: Grace Lee, MD is Professor of Pediatrics at Stanford University School of Medicine and Associate Chief Medical Officer for Practice Innovation at Stanford Children’s Health. In her current role, Dr. Lee primarily serves as a clinical and administrative leader for the health system focused on bridging quality, research and implementation for the organization. Dr. Lee is currently a member of the U.S. Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP), a member of the COVID-19 Vaccines Workgroup, and Co-Chair of the COVID-19 Vaccine Safety Technical Subgroup. Kathy Kinlaw, MDiv, HEC-C is Assistant Professor of Pediatrics and Associate Director of the Emory University Center for Ethics, where she directs the Program in Health, Science, and Ethics. She also serves as Lead Ethicist at Emory Healthcare and Director of the Healthcare Ethics Consortium. Her research and writing addresses clinical and public health ethics issues including critical care resource allocation, and vaccine decision making during the COVID-19 pandemic. She currently serves as a member of the U.S. Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) COVID-19 Vaccine Workgroup. Govind Persad, JD, PhD, is an Assistant Professor at the University of Denver Sturm College of Law and a Greenwall Foundation Faculty Scholar in Bioethics. He has published or forthcoming work on COVID-19 topics in venues including JAMA, the New England Journal of Medicine, Science, the Yale Law Journal Forum, and the American Journal of Bioethics. He has also co-authored op-eds in the New York Times, Denver Post, and Washington Post, and collaborated in the development of the University of Pittsburgh model policy for allocation of scarce COVID-19 treatments. Monica Peek, PD, MPH is an Associate Professor at the University of Chicago, where she serves as the Associate Director of the Chicago Center for Diabetes Translation Research, the Executive Medical Director of Community Health Innovation and the Director of Research at the MacLean Center for Clinical Medical Ethics. Her research pursues health equity and social justice, with a focus on promoting equitable doctor/patient relationships among racial minorities, integrating the medical and social needs of patients, and addressing healthcare discrimination and structural racism that impact health outcomes.
