My First Time in Costa Brava! Is This Place Even REAL?!

My mom and I visited Costa Brava during the summer and had the time of our lives! Isn't this place the most perfect setting for a romantic movie? The scenery kept blowing my mind! We actually decided to go to Spain last minute. Originally, we were not planning any vacation but a very reasonable offer came in and we could not resisit. Of course, just a few days after we booked we found out about the anti-tourist protest which pretty much made me poop my pants and I was very close to cancelling, however, since we already paid and would not be able to get the money back, we had to go. Oh boy, were my worries just baseless. We were staying at a city two hours away from Barcelona, which initially did not seem very far from the protest but the atmosphere could not be different. While the city was definitely the quietest place on Earth, I would say it was not crowded with tourists at all. Everyone, and I mean EVERYONE was extremely welcoming. People were super warm and just seemed very sweet. I was sad we could not communicate as I forgot all of my high school Spanish. In any case, we had the most fun and fell in love with the region.
