The Adiyogi statue is a 34-metre tall (112 ft), 45-metre long (147 ft) and 25-metre wide (82 ft) steel statue of Shiva with Thirunamam at Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. It is recognized by the Guinness World Records as the "Largest Bust Sculpture” in the world. Designed by Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev, the founder and head of the Isha Foundation, the statue weighs around 500 tonnes (490 long tons; 550 short tons). Adiyogi refers to Shiva (Shankara) as the first yogi. It was established to inspire people towards inner well-being through yoga. "This face is not a deity or temple, this is an iconic inspiration. In pursuit of the divine, you don't have to look up because it is not somewhere else. Each of the 112 possibilities is a method to experience the divine within you. You just have to pick one. [...] The idea is not to build one more monument but to use it as a galvanizing force towards self-transformation." Adiyogi is located at the Isha Yoga Center. Its height, 112 ft, symbolizes the 112 possibilities to attain to moksha (liberation) that are mentioned in yogic culture, and also the 112 chakras in the human system. A linga called Yogeshwar Linga was consecrated and placed in front of the statue.The Indian Ministry of Tourism has included the statue in its official Incredible India campaign.It is also the venue of a light and sound show on Shiva as a yogi, inaugurated by the President of India, Ram Nath Kovind. हिंदू देवता शिव को चित्रित करने वाली दुनिया की सबसे बड़ी मूर्ति आदियोगी, 112 फीट ऊंची है, जिसका वजन लगभग 500 टन है। कोयंबटूर में मौजूद आदियोगी प्रतिमा को गिनीज बुक ऑफ वर्ल्ड रिकॉर्ड्स में पहले ही मान्यता मिल चुकी है। प्रतिमा को डिजाइन करने में करीब 2.5 साल लगे हैं, और धातु के छोटे-छोटे टुकड़ों को मिलाकर शिव के चेहरे की प्रतिमा को बनाया गया है। ईशा फॉउंडेशन के अनुसार 112 फीट ऊंचा भगवान शिव का ये चेहरा मुक्ति का प्रतीक है और उन 112 मार्गों को दर्शाता है जिनकी मदद से इंसान योग विज्ञान प्राप्त कर सकता है। यह भी माना जाता है कि ऊंचाई 112 चक्रों को दर्शाती है, जो शरीर के केंद्र बिंदु हैं, जिनका उपयोग ध्यान लगाने में किया जाता है। शिव प्रतिमा योग को बढ़ावा देने के विचार से बनाई गई थी। स्टेच्यू को आदियोगी के नाम से जाना जाता है, जिसका अर्थ है पहला योगी। ये बात शायद आपको न पता हो, भगवान शिव ने ही सबसे पहले योग की शुरुआत की थी। दिलचस्प बात तो ये है कि किसी भी ठेकेदार को निर्माण कार्यों में नहीं लगाया गया है। इसे पूरी तरह से ईशा इंजीनियरिंग विभाग की देख रेख में बनाया गया है। इस प्रतिमा से जुड़ी एक और दिलचस्प बात ये है कि, इसके हॉल को बिना सीमेंट या कंक्रीट का उपयोग किए बनाया गया है। ये जगह कोयंबटूर शहर से करीब 30 किमी दूर है। यहां के लिए आप लोकल बस ले सकते हैं या इस स्थान तक पहुंचने के लिए एक प्राइवेट टैक्सी किराए पर कर सकते हैं। मूर्ति ध्यानलिंग कॉम्प्लेक्स में है। अगर आप गांधीपुरम बस स्टैंड से राज्य परिवहन की बस लेते हैं, तो ये आपको परिसर के गेट तक ले जाएगी। ध्यानलिंग मंदिर से, आपको मूर्ति तक पहुंचने के लिए लगभग 7 मिनट की पैदल दूरी तय करनी पड़ेगी। हालांकि, आप इस 7 मिनट की पैदल यात्रा के लिए भी रिक्शा और बैलगाड़ी ले सकते हैं। If possible consider supporting my Channel through UPI.
