Dr. Thomas S. Ziering has been recognized as a Castle Connolly Top Doctor since 2003! With over 30 years of experience in traditional family medicine, Dr. Ziering has built an exceptional career and holds the unique privilege and perspective of treating patients and families of all genders, sexual identities, and medical conditions. Throughout his career, he has delivered over 150 newborns and has had the honor of caring for multiple generations within families. Dr. Ziering earned his medical degree from Rutgers University Medical School in Newark and completed his residency at RWJ University Somerset Medical Center in 1990, where he was recognized as the Top Resident Educator. Notably, he played a crucial role as a clinical researcher during the HIV crisis in 1992, participating in initial clinical trials for HIV illness. Currently, he is one of the few private practitioners who offer comprehensive care, including PrEP, PEP, HIV care, and hormone therapy for men, women, and transgender patients. Committed to sharing his wealth of knowledge, Dr. Ziering lectures at national and statewide events and plays an integral role in educating physician assistants, nurse practitioners, medical students, residents, physicians, and faculty across various programs in New Jersey. From 2015 to 2017, he served as the former Medical Director of LGBTQI Services for a private medical corporation. Recently, he delivered a keynote speech on LGBTQI Medicine for Physicians in Practice at the New Jersey Academy of Family Medicine. Dr. Thomas S. Ziering, MD, is a compassionate family practitioner who provides care to patients in Morristown, New Jersey, Somerset, NJ, Monmouth County, and Middlesex County. With experience in Medical Education, Medical Administration, Concierge Medicine, and Corporate Medicine, Dr. Ziering has found his true calling as a healer in Private Practice. By allocating a sufficient amount of time for each patient visit, typically ranging from half an hour to one hour, depending on the health concerns, he creates a comfortable and engaged environment where multiple medical and mental health issues can be addressed comprehensively.
