In this episode we give the Gentleman’s study a makeover to bring it back to its former glory and in line with a extremely intricate luxury deck from Oath Playing Cards, the Damask deck. The deck was later released in a blue variant. For this review we will concentrate on the Red deck which is the one I own. The deck comes packaged in a gorgeous highly reflective tuck case featuring two foils, one in gold and a mirror like red foil. The cardstock is a black premium soft touch stock. Aside from the gold detailed damask flower on the front and the cigar label style band that displays the deck name, the entirety of the tuck is covered in a classic floral damask pattern. The bottom of the box features the Oath Playing Cards logo, Credits and the handwritten numbering of the deck This is a completely custom deck of cards of course. The faces are wildly intricate and feature yet another third damask pattern border trimming the center. The middle field is a tightly compressed pattern of small block shapes. The pattern is either colored red or black depending on the suit. Speaking of suits, the pips feature a bisected design with the suit color on one side and gold foil on the other.
