Why should you be fermenting your livestock feed. Well let me tell you it increases the vitamins that are already existing in the feed as well as adding new ones. Vitamin B riboflavin, and niacin to name a few. The fermentation process makes the feed more bioavailable for your animals as well a side benefit to this is that they actually will become more full faster and go through less feed. Because they’re absorbing more of what they’re eating they are also creating less waste for you to clean up later. Not only will it be costing you less in feed but it’s going to be better for your animals in the long run. It does take about 3 to 4 days to ferment each batch of food and each batch is only good for a couple of days so you do want to make sure that you have different batches going at different times if you’re going to be continuing to keep your animals on this feed regimen.
